*Mourinho Scouts Sergej Milinkovic-Savic*

Jose Mourinho was on a scouting mission to see Sergej Milinkovic-Savic when he watched Serbia's win over Montenegro, as per reports.

The Manchester United manager was in Montenegro as Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic double helped Serbia to a 2-0 away victory in Podgorica on Thursday in their UEFA Nations League match.

Milinkovic-Savic, who has been a long-term transfer target for United, came on as a substitute for the final 10 minutes of the match and set up Mitrovic's second with a back-heeled assist.

The 23-year-old Lazio midfielder signed a new deal with the Italian club earlier this month.

The scouting trip comes in the same week Mourinho meets with United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

*Red Star Slam Claims of Match-Fixing in PSG Loss*

Red Star Belgrade have responded with the “highest anger and abomination” to a report of match-fixing by the club in their most recent Champions League match with Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG hosted Red Star on October 3 for the clubs' second Champions League match in Group C, with the Parisians coming away with a comfortable 6-1 victory.

The hosts jumped out to a 4-0 lead during the first half, and scored a fifth in the 70th minute before Red Star notched a goal of their own four minutes later.

It was no more than a consolation effort, with Neymar completing the scoring, and his hat-trick, in the 81st minute to give PSG an easy victory.

However, a report from L’Equipe details allegations UEFA received of match-fixing by Red Star in which a senior member of the Serbian club, with others, intended to place a bet of several million euros on the team to lose by five goals.

The report states French authorities have opened an investigation into the matter after UEFA notified them of the allegations.

Red Star have now released a statement vehemently denying the accusations, and demanding an UEFA investigation into the matter in order to clear the club’s name.

"FC Red Star with the highest anger and abomination rejects the story L'Equipe published today about suspicious result of the PSG vs Red Star match and involvement of anyone from our club in possible wrong doings,” the statement read.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles has also returned to full training following a small fracture to his left fibula in August.

He has not featured since hobbling off in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on the opening weekend of the season.

Meanwhile, Danny Welbeck and Petr Cech (both hamstring) are being assessed ahead of Arsenal's game with Leicester on October 22.

*Maryse Conde Wins๐Ÿ… Alternative Nobel*

Guadeloupean author Maryse Conde on Friday won an alternative award formed in protest to the Nobel Literature Prize, postponed this year over a rape scandal that came to light as part of the #MeToo movement.

The New Academy Prize in Literature was formed in protest to denounce what its founders called the “bias, arrogance and sexism” of the venerable Swedish Academy, which selects Nobel laureates.

Swedish librarians nominated 47 authors, who were later voted on by nearly 33,000 people from around the world, leaving four authors — two women and two men — on the short list.
