Afenifere Reacts🗣 to Atiku Choosing Peter Obi🤝 as Running Mate*

*

The pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere has reacted to the choice of Peter Obi as Atiku Abubakar’s running mate.

DAILY POST earlier broke the news on Atiku opting for the former Governor as his running mate in the 2019 presidential tussle.

Speaking on Atiku’s decision, Afenifere’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Yinka Odumakin in a short statement urged both Atiku and Obi to remain steadfast in restructuring the country.

The statement read: “All we concerned about at this stage is there were commitments by Atiku about the restructuring of Nigeria.

“If it is true that he has picked Peter Obi as his running mate, he should join him to work out clear cut programme on restructuring and ensure that ensure that he remains steadfast on that because that is the main issue that will determine the next election.”

*Amaechi Speaks on Atiku💫 Winning in 2019, APC Rigging🗳*

First republic Minister of Aviation, Mbazulike Amaechi has said it is time for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar to rule Nigeria.

Amaechi stated this while reacting to the choice of Peter Obi as Atiku’s running mate.

DAILY POST earlier reported that Atiku opted for the former Governor as his running mate in the 2019 presidential tussle because of his vast knowledge of global and local economics.

Amaechi in a statement described Obi and the former Vice President as a good team which will manage Nigeria’s economy.

He, however, advised the ruling party, APC, against rigging the presidential election in 2019.

He said: “Peter Obi is an experienced politician, administrator, and businessman. Obi and Atiku are widely exposed.

“Nigeria needs an enlightened government that will manage our economy very well. This is Atiku’s time to reign and with Peter Obi, I think it is a good team.

“I don’t know how the South West will take it but I want to advice the APC against rigging the elections.

“The things I saw in Ekiti and Osun states were not elections.”

*Peter Obi: Profile of PDP Vice Presidential Candidate*

Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has selected ex-Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi as his running mate.

Insiders say Atiku made wide consultations before the decision.

Obi had declared the emergence of Atiku as a good sign for the country ahead of the 2019 general election.

Lamenting that Nigeria had derailed off the paths of development, Obi said that going by “Atiku’s wealth of experience, track record of wealth-creation, knack for identifying excellence among excellent people, detribalised nature and perfect understanding of the ills of the country”, the former VP had all it takes to restore the nation’s glory.

“Having personally followed him in the past six months, listened and interacted with him on a number of issues negatively affecting our society, I observe in him a person who has the burning desire to leave a footprint in the sands of time”, he added.
