*Tension in Abuja👀 as Army Open Fire💥 on Shiites*

Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN, better known as Shi’ites, on Monday, defied warnings by a combined force of the Nigerian army and the police as they poured into the FCT from all major routes, to observe the Arbaeen mourning processions.

The sect members, who came out in their thousands for the procession, clashed again with security operatives when the army attempted to stop them from accessing the city-centre.

The ensuing fracas led to the security operatives allegedly opening fire on the group.

Some people have been reported dead, but the exact number is not yet clear as reports are hazy at the moment.

*CR7⭐ Reveals Why He Left Real Madrid✈*

Juventus attacker Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he left Real Madrid over the summer because his position at the club had changed significantly.

The 33-year-old joined the Italian champions for €100 million (£88m/$115.8m) on a four-year-contract back in July, which brought to an end his nine-year spell in Madrid.

Los Blancos won three successive Champions League titles during his final few seasons at the club, but behind the scenes, their all-time record goalscorer was not happy with how he was being treated.

Ronaldo discussed his relationship with club president Florentino Perez, which turned sour despite the team's on-field success, in an interview with France Football .

"I felt within the club, especially from the president, that I was no longer considered in the same way as I was at the beginning," the Juventus talisman began.

"For the first four or five years, I felt like Cristiano Ronaldo. Less so after.

"The president looked at me in a way that suggested I was no longer indispensable if you know what I mean. That is what made me think about leaving."

Zinedine Zidane was first to leave the Bernabeu this summer, resigning just days after the team secured the 2018 Champions League with a 3-1 win final victory against Liverpool and Ronaldo admitted that his departure influenced his own final decision.

*MP Fires🔥 into Air in Troubled C. African Republic's Parliament🏛*

A lawmaker fired into the air in the Central African Republic's parliament on Monday after an altercation with a colleague as MPs prepared to vote for a new speaker.

Alfred Yekatom, who represents the southern M'baiki district and is a former militia leader, drew his weapon during the dispute, then fired the gun as he ran away.

Yekatom's motive for shooting the gun, which sent MPs rushing to the exit, was not clear.

The parliament session was suspended for an hour while security forces searched every MP.

The lawmakers went on to elect an MP from western Baboua, Laurent Ngon-Baba, a former minister, in a near-unanimous vote of 112 in favour, with four blank ballots.

The vote came three days after a censure motion removed Karim Meckassoua, who represents a predominantly Muslim neighbourhood in Bangui.

After years of confrontation between Muslim and Christian groups in the majority Christian country, Meckassoua's election in 2016 was seen as a symbol of reconciliation.

On Sunday Meckassoua said he would challenge his sacking in the courts, calling for his ouster not to be turned into a sectarian debate -- while noting that 38 of the 41 deputies who voted against him were Christian.

Speaking after the vote, Ngon-Baba said: "We can no longer afford to make mistakes. We will immediately take steps, especially concerning the management of financial resources."

War Veterans Besiege ZIM Ruling Party HQ*

*

War veterans besieged Zimbabwe's ruling party headquarters at the weekend, demanding the sacking of top officials recently given full-time posts there after they were retired from cabinet, reportedly.

They also allegedly tried to seize keys to the offices of some of the officials.

The war veterans accused the officials, including former home affairs minister, Obert Mpofu, former health minister David Parirenyatwa and former defence minister Sydney Sekeramayi of trying to undermine President Emmerson Mnangagwa "and engaging in corrupt activities".

Some were accused of harbouring loyalties to former president Robert Mugabe.

"Our people are suffering; there is no fuel, prices of basic goods are going up every day while these people are here seated and doing nothing. All they do is plot against the president to advance their agenda," war veteran official, Efanos Mudzimunyi said. "We want them out as quickly as possible."

*India's Bhavye Suneja Was Captain of Lion Air Plane 🛫That Crashed With 189 on Board*

A Delhi boy, Bhavye Suneja, was captain of the ill-fated Indonesian carrier Lion Air’s Boeing 737 Max that crashed into the sea while operating a domestic flight from Jakarta to Pangkal Pinang on Monday with 189 people on board. Bhavye Suneja was killed in the plane crash, the Indian Embassy said in Jakarta.

"Our deepest condolences on the tragic loss of lives in the Lion Air Plane crash, off the coast of Jakarta today. Most unfortunate that Indian Pilot Bhavye Suneja who was flying JT610 also lost his life... The embassy is in touch with the Crisis Center and coordinating for all assistance," Indian Embassy in Jakarta said.

Suneja, a resident of Mayur Vihar who passed out of the locality’s Ahlcon Public School in 2005, joined Indonesian Low-Cost Carrier (LCC) Lion Air in March 2011 where he flies the Boeing 737. The VP of a leading airline in India that operates the Boeing 737 said Suneja, 31, was considering returning to India.

“We spoke this July. He is a very sweet sounding person. Being an experienced pilot of the B737 with an incident, accident-free record, we were keen to have him with us because of his good credentials. His only request was that he wanted a Delhi posting as he is from the city,” said the senior official.
