*U.S. Top Diplomat👔 Pompeo's Meeting🤝 With North Koreans📜 Postponed*

A meeting between U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and North Korean officials set for Thursday in New York has been postponed and will be rescheduled “when our respective schedules permit,” the U.S. State Department said on Wednesday.

In a statement, it added, “Ongoing conversations continue to take place,” but did not elaborate.

“The United States remains focused on fulfilling the commitments agreed to by President Trump and Chairman Kim at the Singapore summit in June,” it said.

Pompeo had been due to hold talks with senior North Korean official Kim Yong Chol, which were hoped to have opened the way for a second summit of the two countries’ leaders and make progress on denuclearization.

The meeting agenda had been to “discuss making progress on all four pillars of the Singapore Summit joint statement, including achieving the final, fully verified denuclearization” of North Korea.

*Red Star Shock😱 Liverpool to Blow Group Wide👀 Open

Red Star Belgrade blew Champions League Group C wide open and loosened Liverpool's grip on top spot after Milan Pavkov scored a first-half brace in a 2-0 win.

Liverpool went into the game hoping to open up a four-point gap at the summit before Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain faced each other later on Tuesday, but the visitors fell well short of expectations.

In the opening 45 minutes, Red Star looked a class apart from the team which lost 4-0 at Anfield two weeks ago, as Pavkov netted twice in seven minutes to leave Jurgen Klopp's side trailing by two at half-time.

The Premier League outfit's attempts to claw things back saw them hit the frame of the goal twice in the second half through Andrew Robertson and Mohamed Salah, but they were unable to make their pressure tell and Red Star held on to their first win in the group stage.

*Saul & Griezmann 👊Knock Down BVB💛

Atletico Madrid returned to form in Champions League Group A as goals from Saul Niguez and Antoine Griezman earned a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund.

Dortmund's 4-0 rout on matchday three condemned Diego Simeone to the heaviest defeat of his Atleti tenure, but Los Rojiblancos got back on track in style at Wanda Metropolitano.

Saul's goal after the half hour – a crisp finish at the culmination of a slick team move – opened the scoring, and despite a string of superb saves from Roman Burki, Griezmann wrapped up the points with 10 minutes remaining.

Things might have been different had Raphael Guerreiro kept a close-range header on target, but Atleti were well worthy of a win that lifts them level on points with Dortmund at the top of Group A.

*Late Turnaround💪 Saves Spurs' UCL Campaign

Harry Kane inspired a turnaround in the final 12 minutes to transform Tottenham's Champions League outlook as they beat PSV 2-1 to move to within three points of second-placed Inter.

Spurs appeared to be doomed as they trailed for much of the Group B match, but they turned things around late on to capitalise on the Italian side dropping points at home to Barcelona.

An early Luuk de Jong header forced Spurs to throw caution to the wind and they racked up 30 shots, but, for the most part, they came up against an inspired goalkeeper in the shape of Jeroen Zoet.

Spurs' pressure eventually told in the 78th minute as Kane got the equaliser and he then had a major role in the winner as Trent Sainsbury deflected the England striker's header past the despairing Zoet, teeing up Mauricio Pochettino's men nicely for two huge clashes with Inter and Barcelona.

*Man Utd♦ Can't Perform for 90 Minutes 🔈: Giggs*

Ryan Giggs claims to have been “really impressed” by Manchester United over recent weeks, but admits an inability to perform for 90 minutes has left him frustrated and puzzled.

The Red Devils have endured a disjointed start to their 2018-19 campaign, with inconsistency posing problems on an individual and collective level.

There have been signs of encouragement, such as a dramatic win over Newcastle and back-to-back Premier League victories over Everton and Bournemouth, but plenty of questions remain.

The United legend, speaking in his role as Wales boss ahead of the next international break, said of a frustrating 2018-19 campaign at Old Trafford: “I’ve been really impressed with United in the last four or five games, especially second half.

“But I don’t know what it is. As a United fan you are scratching your head.

“Bournemouth on Saturday were brilliant in the first half, but United were brilliant in the second half. It’s just putting that 90 minutes together.

“They have proven they can give anyone a game, but if you don’t turn up for 45 minutes you will not win.

“You have to turn up for 90 minutes and United have the players.”
