: Nketiah Shines for Arsenal

Eddie Nketiah continued his fine form to lead Arsenal to a 3-0 win over Fiorentina at the International Champions Cup on Saturday.

Nketiah, who scored a late winner against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, netted a brace at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The 20-year-old forward led Arsenal to another pre-season victory, scoring once in each half for the Premier League outfit before Joe Willock sealed the win.

Arsenal opened the scoring after 15 minutes thanks to Nketiah, who made it goals in back-to-back games.

Arsenal doubled their lead in the 65th minute as Nketiah continued his goalscoring form.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan's cutback from the right found Lacazette, who passed to Nketiah for a simple finish.

Lacazette again kept his composure before playing in Willock, who finished clinically to make it 3-0 in the 89th minute.

*PSG Insist No Concrete Offers In for Neymar❌*

Paris Saint-Germain have not received a "concrete offer" for Neymar, the club's sporting director Leonardo said.

The Brazilian forward has been heavily linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 champions during the close season, with his former club Barcelona looking the most likely destination.

He caused controversy earlier in the off-season when he failed to report for training with the rest of the squad on July 8.

Leonardo has previously said the 27-year-old can leave for the right price, but he told reporters after the game in Germany that no offers have been tabled for him.

"Honestly, there is nothing different from the last time we talked," he said, according to Le Parisien. "Nothing at all.

"It has not moved. There is no concrete offer for Neymar, he is with us. He is a player for Paris Saint-Germain.

"I repeat, there is no concrete offer. It's been the same situation for 10 days."

De Gea to Sign New Man Utd Deal

✍*

David de Gea will sign a new long-term contract at Manchester United that will make him the best-paid goalkeeper in the world, as per reports.

The six-year contract is thought to be worth more than £110million.

De Gea, 28, received an offer from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and the Spaniard had a 'reflective period' to mull over his future following a woeful run of form in United's run-in.

However, De Gea has finally decided to commit to United and is expected to sign a £375,000-a-week contract after the squad returns from Asia later this month.

Although De Gea's wage hike has helped persuade him to stay, he has always put footballing decisions ahead of monetary motivations and believes he can still win silverware with United.

It is understood De Gea is grateful for the support he received from United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his backroom coaching staff during what sources close to the Spain international described as the goalkeeper's 'lowest ebb' at the end of last term.

Bayern Munich Ease Past Real Madrid

Eden Hazard made his Real Madrid debut as the LaLiga giants were beaten 3-1 by Bayern Munich at the International Champions Cup in Houston.

Hazard wore the Madrid jersey for the first time since his big-money move from Chelsea, while fellow recruits Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo Goes also made their bows for Zinedine Zidane's side.

But Corentin Tolisso, Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry stole the show as Bayern put Madrid to the sword in the second half, which saw Zidane make 11 changes at the interval.

Tolisso opened the scoring in the 15th minute and Bayern completely dominated in the second half, with substitutes Lewandowski and Gnabry condemning Madrid to defeat in their ICC opener on Saturday.

Madrid did have something to celebrate when Rodrygo capped his debut with a stunning 84th-minute free-kick after Sven Ulreich was sent off for bringing down the former Santos youngster.

Over 100 villagers from Jirrawa community in Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Saturday besieged Government House, Gusau with a dead body alleged to have been killed by bandits earlier in the day in the village.

The media had reported that bandits’ commanders had an agreement with Zamfara government to end attack

Spokespersons of the community, Muntari Abdullahi and Muhammadu Sani told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the bandits invaded the village around 10am and shot sporadically in the air.

“We later realised that they have already killed Shafiu Inusa on his farm while he was trying to apply fertilizer on his plants after the rains of last night,” Abdullahi narrated.

He said, the deceased was just recovering from a gunshot wound inflicted on him when the bandits attacked the village four months ago during which Shafiu’s father was murdered.

“It is exactly four months now when his (Shafiu) father was killed in a similar attack, because the wives of the old man are completing their four months stay at home as mandated by Islam.

“We gathered from his farm neighbour and brother that initially, one of the bandits appeared before them saying anyone who knows he is guilty should run and who is not should stay.

“Shafiu refused to run and when the others numbering over a hundred arrived, they opened fire and killed him instantly, this is his remains that we brought here for the governor to see and know that this peace initiative is not working for us,” he said.
