Find someone like this.

Find somebody who is willing to fix their mistakes when they are in the wrong.
Find someone who knows that date nights are mandatory.

Find someone who never punishes you for the mistakes made by the ones behind you.

Find someone who you have amazing chemistry with.

Find someone who is willing to graduate to a real lasting love with you.

Find someone who is willing to navigate the ship of life together.

Find someone who knows that not a single person on the face of this earth sits high enough to look down on anyone.

Find someone who doesn't make you fall for them without intending to catch you.

Find someone who would rather spend a Sunday morning with you, rather than a Saturday night.

Find somebody who's quick to put their ego aside, and willing to listen and grow with you with every day that passes.

Find someone who chases you .... long after they already have you.

Find someone who will never let you fall asleep at night wondering if you still matter.

Find someone who makes a reservation at your favorite restaurant unannounced.

Find someone who has genuine intentions with you from the very beginning.

Take my advice and .... find someone real enough to treat you .... like they can never replace you.

I have to admit

...

I have the utmost respect for a woman who says "Let me check with my husband first." Or a man that says "Let me run this past my wife and I will get back with you..."

See, what people dont realize is.... it isn't that you cant make a decision on your own. It's just that when you are in a relationship, you value the other person so much that you don't make decisions on your own.

A good relationship is not just about being exclusive. It's also about being inclusive.

Make an impact.

It doesn't matter how busy you think you are, you're never to busy to show a little effort to the person you genuinely care about.

If you take some time throughout the day to send her a text saying something like ..... "I just wanted to let you know I'm pretty busy today but I can't stop thinking about you and how blessed I truly am to have you in my life."

It will make an impact.

Or even if you wait till 10 o'clock at night when she falls peacefully asleep and you decide to quietly get up and go sit down at the kitchen table to write her a hand written letter about how much she has changed your life for the better and explain to her in your own words how there is nothing in this world that could separate the two of you because of how immensely connected you are to her.

It will make an impact.

Or you could even surprise her on a Saturday afternoon by going to a secluded spot in the country with a picnic basket and a blanket and making your way to down by a beautiful lake where the scenery is breath-taking, while you both enjoy each other's favorite snacks while talking about your future goals with one another.

Small things like that will drastically make an impact on the person you’re in a relationship with .... because it tells the person you care about, no matter how busy you get ... you will always find a way to make time for her.

HOW TO KNOW IF THE LOVE IS REAL

HOW TO KNOW IF THE LOVE IS REAL

When someone loves you, you know and you will feel it. There will be evidences to attest to it.

Below are some of the evidences...

✅ ATTENTION

When someone loves you, he or she will give you attention. We give attention to the things that we love.

✅ CARE

When someone loves you, they will care about your well-being. Anyone that doesn't care about your welfare does not love you.

✅ COMMUNICATION

When someone loves you, they will communicate often with you as much as possible. Hearing the voice of whom you love is a delight.

✅ GIVING

The natural outflow of love is giving. When someone loves you, they will give. It doesn't necessarily has to be money but there will be giving.

✅  SPENDING TIME TOGETHER

When someone loves you, they will desire and long to spend time with you. When you love someone, you will desire the presence of the person. Anyone that doesn't like spending time with you, may not love you.

✅ SACRIFICE

The ultimate prove of love is sacrifice. Love is not self-seeking. Love always spends itself at the expense of the beloved. Someone that is not going out of his way once in a while to make you feel good, may not love you. Love is sacrificial.

✅ PATIENCE

When someone loves you, they will patient with you. They will be patient with in your weaknesses, down time, etc.

✅ PROTECTION

When someone loves you, they will try to protect you from harm, they will ensure that you are safe.

✅ KINDNESS

When someone loves you, they will be kind to you. Love is kind. Harshness is a sign of hatred, resentment or anger not a sign of love.

✅ VULNERABILITY

When someone loves you, they will vulnerable to you. They will loose their guard, put down their defence, they will dismantle the barricade and they will show you the weak side of them hoping you don't hurt them.

✅ SUPPORT

When someone loves you, they will support you in whatever capacity they can. They will support your dreams and aspirations.

Anglican Priest ordained a Catholic priest and a bishop. What happens to his family?

Anglican Vs Catholic

The Anglican and the Catholic Church have a long and rough history. Understanding the history will make you better appreciate why Anglican priests who decide to return to the Catholic Church are received and why just last month, one of such priests was made a Bishop which raised a lot of questions among Catholics and non-Catholics alike.

Let us use this post to understand that history first.

In 1534 when King Henry VIII broke out from the Catholic Church because the Pope (Pope Clement VII) refused to grant an annulment for his marriage to Catherine of Aragon, that same year, King Henry VIII enacted what he called the Act of Supremacy in England.

The Act of Supremacy declared that the King was the Head of the Church in England.

This Act of Supremacy effectively made all Catholics who refused to accept him as Supreme Head of the Church in England, liable to the charge of treason.

The seriousness of it was seen the following year in 1535 when Thomas More (who had been Henry’s Chancellor) and Bishop John Fisher, both Catholics, were executed for refusing to swear the Oath of Supremacy, accepting the act. So, refusal to swear the oath was punished by death.

The following year gave birth to something even more bloodier. You may have heard of the Pilgrimage of Grace. You can read it up. Monasteries in England were dissolved. Properties of the Catholic Church were confiscated. In 1536, Robert Aske led the Pilgrimage of Grace. It did not end well, many people were hanged and executed, and a lot of them were monks. The overall aim was the suppression of the Catholic Church in England.

In 1547, King Henry VIII died and his son Edward VI took over and continued from where his father stopped. A significant shift happened only when in 1553, Edward died and Henry’s daughter Mary I replaced Edward. Mary I was regarded as the "bloody Mary." She was Catholic, the daughter of Catherine of Aragon. She sought to restore Catholicism and reverse the English reformation her father and brother already started. She was largely unsuccessful, but she had over 280 dissenters (protestants) burned at the stake.

When Mary died, Henry’s other daughter, Elizabeth I took the throne. That was in 1558. Elizabeth’s parliament passed the Act of Supremacy of 1559, which re-established the Church of England and the Church of Ireland’s independence from Rome and Papal authority. In 1570, the Pope, (Pope Pius V) then issued a bull called 'Regnans In Excelsis' referring to her (Elizabeth I) as a pretended Queen of England and a heretic. The bull mandated that no one should obey her, and obedience to her will incur ex-communication.

In 1581, Elizabeth responded by making it illegal to celebrate mass. It became difficult and almost impossible to be a practising Catholic in England without breaking the law - and the laws got stricter to the point where people could be executed for sheltering Catholic priests. You cannot shelter a priest, you cannot hide a priest to say mass, you can’t celebrate mass, you can’t be a catholic. Lots of Catholics died for their faith. Many others died in prison. They are in the hundreds.

It became a capital offence to train a priest, or for a priest to enter England and Wales.  It became a capital offence to celebrate mass, go to confession, maintain fidelity to the Pope, or even possess any Papal document.

Catholics were excluded from any public office, from law, the army, Parliament, etc. They were unable to inherit land. They were subject to arrest, imprisonment and confiscation of property if they refused to attend the State Anglican Church. From 1588 until 1888, failure to participate in Anglican services was officially a crime.

It was only in 1791 (The Second Relief Act) that Catholics were allowed to once again worship legally, and it was not until 1829 (The Catholic Emancipation Act) that Catholic men could hold a seat in Parliament. To this day, it is unconstitutional for the monarch of the United Kingdom to be a Catholic.

THE FIRST WEALTHIEST BLACK FAMILY IN THE US:

THE FIRST WEALTHIEST BLACK FAMILY IN THE US:

Junius G. Groves 1859 - 1925.
Farmer, landowner, and businessman Junius G. Groves was one of the wealthiest Black Americans of the early 20th century. Born a slave in Green County, Kentucky, Groves was later liberated and joined other freedmen in the “Great Exodus” to Kansas in 1879, eventually finding work as a farmhand. Impressed with his strong work ethic and production, Groves’ employer offered him nine acres of land to farm on shares.

By 1884, he and his wife Matilda had saved enough to purchase 80 acres of land near Edwardsville, Kansas. So successful was their venture that, just four years later, they had acquired a total of 2,000 acres and replaced their one-room shanty with a 22-room mansion.

Groves made a name for himself as a potato grower, producing as many as 721,500 bushels in one year – far and away more than any other farmer – and earning the title of “Potato King of the World.” He also operated a general store, maintained several orchards, and had investments in various mining and banking interests. Groves worked the farm until his death in 1925. He attributed his success to the endless hard work and devotion of his wife and 12 children.
