Passing of excessive blood during periods is known as Menorrhagia. The condition may be so severe in some women that they may even pass blood clots. There are several causes for menorrhagia. it can be due to fibroids, hormonal imbalance, excessive sensitivity of the uterine lining (endometrium) to hormones, endometrial polyps, infection etc. Endometrial cancer can also present as menorrhagia. Women suffering from menorrhagia should consult a gynaecologist to determine the cause. Only then can appropriate treatment be started.

What causes women to lose extensive amounts of blood during the menstruation period?
I've been doing sit ups for a week and I don't see any difference, must I give up?
A good rule of thumb for working out is at 4 weeks, you see a difference, at 8 weeks, your close friends and family see a difference, and at 12 weeks the rest of the world sees a difference. So one week is way too short to jump to any conclusions!
I have Fibroadenoma it's been 4 months now and it has not faded what can I do
A fibroadenoma is a benign tumour of the breast. It is a localised overgrowth of normal breast tissue. The only treatment for fibroadenoma is surgical removal. It will not “fade” by itself, nor will it disappear with medication. Fibroadenomas are not cancerous and they will not become cancerous either. If the fibroadenoma is large in size, or you want it removed for cosmetic reasons, you will have to undergo surgery.
What are the causes of goitre and is it curable
Goitre refers to an enlarged thyroid gland. The thyroid is a gland situated on the Adam’s apple in the front of the neck. There are several causes of goitre. The commonest cause of goitre is hypothyroidism. In this condition, there is a deficiency of Thyroxine, which is a hormone secreted by the thyroid. This causes the thyroid to increase in size to compensate for the deficiency. The commonest cause of hypothyroidism is Iodine deficiency. Hypothyroidism can be corrected by giving the patient tablets of Thyroxine. Iodine deficiency can be corrected by addition of Iodine to the diet. In several countries this is achieved by fortifying table salt with Iodine. In long standing goitres, the size of the thyroid gland may not reduce even after correction of the deficiency, and surgery may be required.
There are several other conditions that can cause an enlargement of the thyroid gland, including inflammation, infection, and tumours. A careful evaluation is required before diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
HIV self testing kit
Does HIV self testing kit work⚕
HIV self testing kits work on the same basis as rapid testing kits used in clinical laboratories. The kits detect the presence of antibodies to HIV in the sample provided. The difference is that while laboratories use blood as a sample, self test kits use oral fluid as a sample. Self test kits have a greater probability of error than rapid test kits that use blood as sample. This means that neither positive nor negative results are completely reliable and have to be confirmed by further testing in a clinical laboratory. The chance of error is quite small, but significant enough to warrant further confirmatory testing. The advantage of self testing is that an individual can test in privacy without the accompanying stigma.
How long can cooked chicken last in the fridge?
Cooked meats usually last in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. Five days is generally safe as well. If you have a very cold fridge, the chicken may last even longer, but it's up to you to decide whether eating it is truly worth the risk! Needless to say, if it smells funky or feels slimy, throw it out!
