Are expectations the biggest problem in a relationship?

When we are in a relationship, we develop expectations. If those expectations are not fulfilled, we have disagreements and become heartbroken.

The problem is that we have never learned to do anything without expecting a return. We turn every relationship into an emotional trade. We expect people to see the world the way we do, behave the way we want, and act the way we feel they should. The more you insist someone does things your way, the more they are unlikely to do it.  Rather one should try expressing themselves gently so another person can get a message about how you feel about a situation. After all, love and relationships are about understanding not wanting a return. 

It might be hard not to have expectations but once you learn this skill, you will save yourself from much heartache.

Get ready for the challenge

Are you ready for success?

You must also prepare yourself for the challenges that come along the way. The higher the goal, the more challenging it will be. 

Most people have goals, and many even find the courage to begin, but only some prepare themselves enough to overcome the hurdles. These hurdles can challenge our mind and body equally, but what we need to do, is not give up on these temporary hurdles and keep going. In any difficult situation, we must try to look for a solution. We must evaluate how we can use our capabilities, support network and experience to get through that barrier. Once our mind learns to overcome, it only gets easier next time. 

The path to success is not easy. Instead of being afraid, strengthen your mind and prepare yourself enough, so you can break through any barrier in life. After all, success is not just about achieving what you want but also learning how to get to it.

Are you afraid because you have met an unexpected challenge in life?

Keep calm, keep going. Don't let it stop you from moving ahead.

Bends in life are the events, situations or challenges that can sometimes happen in our lives. Most of the time, we don't see them coming, so we are not enough prepared to handle them. These are the testing times in life. It is important to keep a calm and balanced mind because that one bend can completely turn our lives. 

Our preparedness to handle situations in life greatly depends upon how we have trained our minds. Our upbringing, faith, culture, social connections and personality play an important role. We cannot control every aspect of life but what we can always try to see is the positive aspect of life. 

When you face any problem, try to think of all possible solutions. Think about which solution is the best fit for your situation. Can things go worse than this, what can you do then? Think if you can control any aspect. Ask family and friends to help.  Above all keep the faith and pray.

Why do difficult times make us value what we have?



We take so many things in our lives for granted. When something is already available to us, we tend to not value it enough.

Whether it is people in our lives or other aspects of life such as health, knowledge, relationships, and culture, we often forget to appreciate them. When we go through difficult times and see those people standing with us and little things helping us to cope up with those situations, we realize their importance and tend to appreciate them more. 

Don't become ignorant because you feel you have a surplus or you are so sufficient that you won't need anyone or anything else in life. Appreciate everything and everyone that adds value to your life. In the dark days, these are the ones who will stand by your side.

Living with guilt and self-blame is damaging to both our body and mind. When we do something, we always expect a positive outcome but this doesn't always happen. At times things go wrong and sometimes we don't have a choice to retract our actions. 

If you face such a situation in life, don't crush yourself from inside with the burden of self-blame. You must remind yourself that your intentions were always right and what you did was your very best. You can control your actions but not the outcome. Even the best effort can fail and the best intention might not yield as expected.

Don't live in guilt when things go wrong or you are unable to do as desired. Accept, learn and move on.

Our decisions can sometimes go wrong.

Why should we try to use the first chance to make things right?

Our decisions can sometimes go wrong. We might hurt people unintentionally, miss an opportunity or take a wrong path in life.

Only if we know beforehand how our decisions can affect us, we all could always make a right choice but that cannot happen and things do go wrong. If you find yourself in such a situation, make every effort to fix that mistake at that very moment. When people delay making things right, situations change, they lose that important time of life, all they are left with are the regrets of not trying.

Don’t let regret accompany you for rest of your life. Always give your best try to rectify. Living with regrets is more painful than trying to fix it.
