How not to stress yourself if you are HIV Positive!

Having a chronic illness is stressful for anyone! Take the time to know your illness. As long as you get the right treatment, HIV is no longer a killing disease. Talk to your doctors and family, make sure you have easy access to information and care, and that the people closest to you are also informed and can support you. Take the illness as an opportunity to simplify your life and live healthier. Eat well, get exercise, find ways to de-stress, whether it be meditation, writing, or simply talking with friends. Cut out negative elements from your life - whether it be toxic friendships/family or unhealthy addictions. There may be days that you still feel down, but you will be okay!
