A 4-month old child should not be given any snacks. The WHO clearly recommends that children should _only_ be breastfed upto the age of 6 months. After the age of 6 months, they may be given some soft foods in addition to breast milk. Gradually, they should be weaned off onto solid foods. At the age of 4 months, children should _definitely not_ be given any snacks.
