⏰Monday of the Sixth Week of Easter (06 May 2024)
๐Acts 16:11-15; Ps 149:1bc-2, 3-4, 5-6a and 9bc (R.v.4a); John 15:26 - 16:4a
๐คYOU TOO ARE IMPORTANT BEFORE GOD
At the beginning of this new work week, child of God, we are reminded that God can choose just anyone or anything to do his work, even ordinary or unusual people or things. That tells us that before God, there is no favouritism. Otherwise, salvation would have remained simply for the Jews without considering the gentiles and, by extension, you and me.
May God use you in a great way in this week and beyond so that you may begin to experience great transformation in your life and become a point of reference for testimonies. Amen.
Consider the conversion of Lydia and her household as an example of that (Acts 16:11-15). Apart from being a woman, she was a gentile. But, like the Samaritan woman (John 4:7-42) and Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10), God did not relent to bring salvation to her household.
Consider the promise of the Holy Spirit from that point, too. The Holy Spirit is not to be given to a preferred set of people but to all who are ready to receive Him (cf. Luke 11:13). To receive the Holy Spirit, you need to be steadfast in your obedience of the Word of God (see Acts 5:32) and then be willing to receive Him.
Are you ready and willing to receive him? No time is late, but the future is uncertain. You can start now to get ready.
May the same Holy Spirit assist you in your resolve to follow God and do His will at all times. Amen.
Have a Spirit-filled work week. Peace be with you.
